Speaking out for our best friends

Ohio Coalition of Dog Advocates

Dogs enhance our lives and grab our hearts like nothing else.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are a committed group of responsible dog owners living throughout the state of Ohio.  Working together we can make our state, and our local communities, more humane for our four legged companions.  We strive to advocate for policies, laws, and practices that enhance the human-canine bond.
Here at OCDA we network with other groups in Ohio, and throughout the country, to educate the public on current issues affecting the health, safety, and welfare of our canine companions.  Please join us in speaking out for our best friends
Congratulations to everyone in Cleveland on the passage of the new breed neutral dangerous dog ordinance. A very special THANK YOU to Councilman Matt Zone and Chief Dog Warden John Baird for recognizing that reckless dog owners endanger the safety of everyone in the community. A very special round of applause for Dawn Stretar and Jeff Theman who fought very hard for the passage of this ordinance.
House Bill 14 has been voted out of the House Of Representatives and is waiting to be voted on by the full Senate. Please call your Senator today and ask that they support this important piece of legislation. For more information on HB14 click on HB14/25 tab.
A special thank you to our friends at the Grateful Dog Bakery in North Ridgeville for supporting our efforts through a monthly donation.  Check out their website for all the yummy treats they have to offer.
